For many years, the Baylor Evnen law clerk program has provided law students with an unmatched opportunity for learning. With a strong focus on real-world applications of law and one-on-one guidance and mentoring from partners and associates, the law clerk program at Baylor has become respected for its uniquely meaningful learning experience. Baylor Evnen’s vast areas of practice provide law clerks with the chance to build a foundation for their future practice of law. Law clerks are encouraged to seek out special projects and research that they find of interest to themselves, and are often invited to attend hearings or oral arguments.
In May, first-year law students Brett Lahm and Jason Bring were hired as full-time summer law clerks and have since been invited to continue working at Baylor during the following school year. They joined third-year law student, Benjamin Murray. This talented group continues Baylor Evnen’s long standing tradition of hiring only the most qualified candidates. Clerks are hired based upon a set of criteria including scholastic performance, ability to work in a collaborative environment, and capability of applying classroom experiences to real-world law. Law clerks must also possess the qualities and characteristics of succesful attorneys.
