Zachary W. Anderson

Mr. Anderson practices in the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group. Mr. Anderson has a vast amount of experience within government service and the judicial system, particularly as he has clerked for multiple judges on the state and federal level.

Specifically, Mr. Anderson has been a judicial law clerk for: Judge Everett O. Inbody of the Nebraska Court of Appeals; Magistrate Judge Thomas D. Thalken of the U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska; Judge Bridget E. Robb of the Second Judicial District Court of Nevada; and Judge James E. Wilson, Jr., of the First Judicial District Court of Nevada. Further, Mr. Anderson was a staff attorney for the Nevada Supreme Court and Nevada Court of Appeals and a former deputy county attorney for the Scotts Bluff County Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Anderson received his Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in 2012, with a concentration in Litigation. While in law school, Mr. Anderson was part of the International Trademarks Association Moot Court Team; president of the Law Ambassadors; and vice-president of the Moot Court Board. Additionally, Mr. Anderson authored the law review article, Title IX Compliance: In the name of financial stability or gender equality, 10 Willamette Sports L.J. 33 (2012). While in law school, Mr. Anderson was a senior certified law clerk with the U.S. Attorney’s Office; a law clerk for Magistrate Judge Thalken of the U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska; and an intern with the University of Nebraska at Omaha Athletic Department. Mr. Anderson also founded the law school running club and sang with the Creighton University Chamber Choir.

Mr. Anderson received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, with a major in Communications and minors in Sociology and Business Management. While at BYU, Mr. Anderson was the team captain of the men’s swimming team, receiving recognition as a three-time NCAA Division I Academic All-American; five-time National Championship Competitor; two-time Open Water National Championship Competitor; and a NCAA Division I Championships Competitor. Mr. Anderson was also recognized as the “Most Valuable Swimmer” and was voted by his teammates as the “Most Inspirational Swimmer.” Additionally, Mr. Anderson was actively involved in the Student Athlete Advisory Council and was part of the BYU Men’s Chorus.

Mr. Anderson grew up in Mesa, Arizona. His wife, Laura, is an occupational therapist. They enjoy spending time with their rescue dog and cat. Mr. Anderson also enjoys physical fitness, by actively participating in functional fitness competitions throughout the country as a member of CrossFit Lincoln and is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
